Yvette bíró

Essayist, screenwriter, and professor emerita in New York University Graduate Film School, Yvette Biro worked on a dozen prizewinning films with noted directors (Jancsó, Fabri, Makk) in her native Hungary. She recently wrote scripts, one based on Nobel Laurate Jose Saramago’s The Stone Raft (2003-4) and for acclaimed European coproductions: Johanna (2005) and Delta (2008) director: Kornel Mundruczo. Yvette published numerous essays and ten books on film, translated into seven languages.

Her last book came out recently both in French (2007) and English: TURBULENCE AND FLOW IN FILM, by Indiana University Press (2008).
