Platform

Hungary's two devoted initiators of international artistic collaborations, Trafó - House of Contemporary Arts and Workshop Foundation are happy to announce the second edition of the platform for contemporary Hungarian performing arts entitled dunaPart, which will be held between the 20th and 22nd January 2011 in Budapest.

Our objective is to present the outstanding representatives of the independent Hungarian performing arts scene, to help them become part of the international community and to initiate international networking. You will have the opportunity to see the performances in their original environments with English surtitles.

Program

Though the participating companies have not yet been selected, theatre and dance performances will receive equal emphasis. Besides performers who have already received international recognition, we would like to introduce the significant creative artists of the Hungarian fringe. A board of theatre experts and critics (Lívia Fuchs, Máté Gáspár, Csaba Králl, István Szalai-Szabó, Andrea Tompa, Ágnes Veronika Tóth) will help us in the selection process.  

The official program will be accompanied by Off events, meetings for performing arts professionals and informal talks.
